Job Overview Compass Health Network is seeking a dedicated Nurse LPN/RN for our Crisis Center Stabilization Center, specializing in psychiatric care during the weekend night shifts. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide compassionate, direct care to individuals experiencing behavioral crises while maintaining the highest standards of Professional Nursing Practice. A sign-on bonus of up to $2,400 is available for qualified candidates, reflecting our commitment to supporting our healthcare team. Key Responsibilities • Deliver nursing care, including health assessments, pain assessments, vital signs, and general daily care for individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center. • Administer medications and manage medication records, including completing the MAR and counting controlled substances. • Educate patients and their families regarding physical health and medications. • Coordinate care with healthcare staff, patients, families, and external entities such as pharmacies and hospitals. • Document and report observable changes in patients’ behavior and physical conditions. • Assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures as needed. • Participate in team meetings and provide orientation to new employees regarding procedures and protocols. • Address the needs of patients, including those who may be verbally or physically agitated. • Participate in mandatory overtime when required. Required Skills • Strong verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills. • Cognitive, organizational, and emotional capabilities to address multiple stressors and deadlines. • Proficiency in providing care in a psychiatric setting. • Ability to manage medications effectively and conduct health assessments. • Experience working with patients in crisis situations. • Collaborative skills to work within a multidisciplinary team environment. Qualifications • An Associate’s degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. • A valid LPN or RN license in the state of Missouri is mandatory. • A minimum of one year of psychiatric experience is required; experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
