Job Overview: We're seeking a highly skilled Small Business Underwriter/Sr Small Business Underwriter to join our team. As an underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing risks associated with small business accounts within our assigned territories. Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate and manage risks associated with small business accounts. • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies. • Collaborate with agents, regional underwriters, and other departments to grow a profitable book of small business accounts. • Provide responsive support and guidance to agents on coverage, billing questions, and policy information. • Monitor premium growth for each small business segment within assigned territory using electronic reporting tools. Requirements: Knowledge and Requirements • Demonstrate proficiency in usage of all supplied desktop tools, including the automated underwriting and email systems. • Ability and desire to develop and execute proactive marketing strategies. • Ability to effectively communicate with agents while applying the appropriate sense of urgency. • Must be able to build effective relationships with agents, regional underwriters, management, and peers. Education and Experience • College degree preferred. • Minimum of 1 year of underwriting and/or marketing experience preferred. • Designations of AU or CIC or CPCU preferred. Apply Job!
