About the position The Analyst and Senior Analyst positions within the Corporate Function Control Management team at American Express National Bank (AENB) focus on operational risk management. These roles are designed to support various corporate groups by establishing governance structures, assessing operational risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The positions offer opportunities for professional growth and are part of a diverse and inclusive team committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities ? Establish the Operational Risk and Controls strategy for AENB. , ? Set up a foundational governance structure to manage operational risks in compliance with enterprise programs. , ? Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks within business unit processes. , ? Ensure timely identification, response, and resolution of risk events and issues. , ? Engage in continual improvement of business processes to mitigate operational risks. Requirements ? 1-2 years of experience in operational risk management for Analyst role; 2 years for Senior Analyst role. , ? Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities. , ? Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. , ? Experience in process governance and understanding of regulatory frameworks. , ? Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and evaluate risk scenarios. Nice-to-haves ? Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous. , ? Experience in translating operational risk strategy into execution guidelines. , ? Experience in tracking and identifying issues with Key Risk Indicator (KRI) limits. , ?
