You’ll be joining a people-focused company, and as a Lead Payroll Operations Specialist, you will oversee multi-country payroll operations. This role will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for India, UK, and Germany while managing payroll specialists handling Czech Republic, US, Netherlands, Finland, and Sweden payrolls. You will have extensive experience in Indian payroll regulations, strong expertise in UK and Germany payroll, and the ability to lead a payroll team while working at both micro and macro levels of payroll strategy and operations. You must be accessible during U.S. business hours, particularly overlapping with Central Time (ET) from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST, to ensure effective collaboration with U.S.-based teams THE OPPORTUNITY Payroll Processing & Compliance: Manage and process payroll for India, UK, and Germany, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. Act as a subject matter expert for Indian payroll: Ensure compliance with TDS, EPF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, Bonus Act, and other statutory requirements. Oversee UK payroll compliance (PAYE, NI, pensions) and Germany payroll laws. Monitor and implement regulatory changes across assigned payroll regions. Conduct payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance reporting. Team Leadership & Oversight: Lead and manage payroll specialists responsible for: Czech Republic payroll US, Netherlands, Finland, and Sweden payrolls Ensure payroll specialists are trained, supported, and aligned with global payroll strategies. Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management for team members. Foster a collaborative payroll team culture while driving process efficiency. Payroll Strategy & Technology: Optimize payroll systems, integrations, and automation initiatives. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to enhance payroll processes. Identify and implement payroll best practices to drive accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Manage third-party payroll providers and ensure compliance with SLAs. Work at both macro (strategic) and micro (transactional) levels of payroll operations. Other duties as assigned. THE SKILL SET Preferred a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field 7+ years of payroll experience, with a strong focus on India payroll processing Experience processing payroll in the UK and Germany Prior experience managing multi-country payroll operations is preferred Strong leadership skills with experience managing payroll teams Expertise in payroll software. Experience with ADP solutions is a plus Strong understanding of payroll compliance, taxation, and statutory regulations Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in both hands-on (micro) and strategic (macro) capacities High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills Must be accessible during U.S. business hours, particularly overlapping with Central Time (ET) from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST, to ensure effective collaboration with U.S.-based teams.
