About the position The DEI Marketing and Messaging Strategist at AvantGarde, LLC will collaborate with the USCP Office of Equity and Inclusion to enhance the brand presence and ensure consistent communication across the organization. This hybrid role involves both remote and in-office work, focusing on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion through strategic marketing and messaging initiatives. Responsibilities • Advancing DEI through marketing development and messaging. , • Ensuring outreach efforts adhere to DEI standards and Department values. , • Creating a DEI marketing handbook with principles consistent with DEI practices. , • Building partnerships with internal stakeholders to integrate DEI practices in marketing efforts. , • Developing and implementing an integrated strategic communications plan for OEI. , • Writing, updating, editing, and overseeing production of printed materials. , • Acting as a brand ambassador for OEI, ensuring consistent use of branding elements. , • Preparing photography and media for publication and maintaining a digital media library. , • Managing the OEI webpage and ensuring content integrity. , • Conducting an equity and inclusion audit of communication procedures to identify barriers. , • Creating an inclusive language handbook with DEI talking points. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent preferred. , • At least 3 years of experience in DEI principles and practices. , • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite. , • 5 years' experience with tools like Google Analytics for monitoring campaigns. , • 3 years' experience in website management. , • 3 years' experience in designing and creating marketing content and materials. , • 5 years' experience in building marketing/branding strategies across multiple channels. , • Excellent time-management and organizational skills. , • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience in public-facing information management. , • Social media savvy for effective platform use. , • Ability to brainstorm and conceptualize marketing messages.
